Inclusive sandbox P3227 ♿
A round raised sandbox designed for shared play by children who use wheelchairs and their peers.
Children sift sand through colourful sieves, sort natural elements and create sand shapes, developing their manual skills and creativity in the process. Playing while standing and the free ramp access make it easier for all participants to access and be included.
The sandbox edge is made of durable HDPE board, fitted with three sieves of different mesh sizes for sifting sand, and prevents the material from spilling outside the sandbox.
The device works well in parks, on housing estates, near kindergartens and schools, creating a safe and accessible space for creative sensory play.
The sandbox is mounted on three legs, which ensures stability and comfort of use for both standing children and wheelchair users.
