Safe and functional for 20 years
Thanks to regular inspections, the owner or manager of a playground can be sure the facility is fully safe for users. We offer comprehensive inspections of recreation equipment. Our experienced team of technicians will quickly check playgrounds, outdoor gyms and street workout sets regardless of the equipment manufacturer. We finish each inspection with a report including photographic documentation and any observations. We carry out inspection and maintenance activities in line with the requirements of the PN-EN 1176 and EN 16630 safety standards.
Standards on inspections
Playgrounds, outdoor gyms and other recreational and sports facilities should undergo inspections to detect faults resulting from wear, vandalism and weather conditions. An inspection makes it possible to assess the condition of a playground in terms of wear and continued suitability for use. An inspection may result in the need for servicing.
The PN-EN 1176 standard defines three types of inspection that every playground should undergo:
- routine visual inspection (every 1–7 days)
- operational inspection (every 1–3 months)
- annual main inspection, also called the principal inspection
The most important is the annual main inspection, which should be carried out by experienced personnel, ideally the equipment manufacturer.
Scope of a playground inspection
The annual main inspection carried out by STARMAX covers:
- the condition of equipment foundations,
- checking wear of moving parts,
- checking the effect of weather conditions on play equipment,
- checking for signs of decay or corrosion, and checking the condition of the surfacing,
- checking changes in the playground's safety level resulting from repairs carried out,
- preparing an inspection report with photographic documentation,
- preparing a cost estimate for any repairs.
Warranty and post-warranty servicing
We carry out repairs of playgrounds and outdoor gyms. We use original spare parts supplied by the manufacturer.
We'll replace damaged elements — chains, swing seats, bearings, climbing grips, plastic covers for bolted connections. We renovate metal elements and protect them against corrosion.
Price of a playground or outdoor gym inspection
Depending on the number of playgrounds or gyms, the starting price for a full inspection service is PLN 650 net for the first facility and PLN 450 net for each subsequent one, plus TRAVEL COST. If you have more than 7 facilities, you'll receive an individual quote.
Please remember that the results of all inspections (both positive and those showing faults to be rectified) should be recorded in the so-called playground inspection logbook, kept together with the facility's documentation.
