Grasshopper – Giant Climbing Creature
When the client said 'let's create something extraordinary', this is exactly what came about — a huge Grasshopper that looks like a living creature transferred from the world of children's imagination onto a modern playground. The organic form inspired by nature means the device immediately catches the eye and becomes the central point of the recreational space.
Children can climb the giant insect, pass through its structure, discover the successive ways in and slide down a long slide resembling the grasshopper's tongue. The unusual shape encourages creative play, creating their own scenarios and movement activity full of excitement.
Grasshopper playgroundis fitted with a rope tunnel connected to a climbing funnel, slanted climbing nets, vertical climbing ropes, a spatial rope spider's web and characteristic pentagonal holes for passing through. The various elements support the development of motor skills, balance and motor coordination during active outdoor play.
